A hub is also called a "repeater." The hub allows connected workstations to share resources such as printers or servers. Dual speed means the hub can work with older 10Mbps Ethernet as well as newer 100Mbps Fast Ethernet. Linking the 10Mbps and 100Mbps together is achieved through an optional on-board switch module. A master hub controls other hubs in the stack via an integrated management port. A master hub also allows the network administrator to configure, diagnose, and upgrade the system.

Product Description
The TE100-DS24 is a dual speed 10/100Mbps hub that provides a new level of flexibility and easy migration between bandwidths. A stack of TE100-DS24 hubs operate as a class II Fast Ethernet repeater.

Each port supports auto sensing between 10Mbps Ethernet and 100Mbps Fast Ethernet. The hub stack creates independent segments for the 10Mbps and 100Mbps ports upon port speed negotiation.

The TE100-DM24 is a dual speed 10/100Mbps management hub that provides a new level of flexibility and easy migration between bandwidths. The TE100-DM24 can control up to four TE100-DS24 or TE100D16s. a stack of TE100-DM24 hubs operates as a class II Fast Ethernet repeater. Two slots are built-in for options flexibility.
